Two girls decided to go to the mall for the afternoon. At some point, they allegedly got so drunk along the way that they couldn’t walk straight. But that isn’t the worst part. The worst part is that they both had their infants in tow with them.
According to Mommy Page, two mothers were arrested in New Hampshire and accused of drunkenly trying to care for their infants in the parking lot of the Mall at Rockingham Park. Salem Police officers said the women were so drunk that they were “barely able to stand.”
“Officers noticed that the females were barely able to stand, let alone care for the infants,” police said in a statement.
Police said that one of the mothers was allegedly holding her child dangerously above her head while sitting in a dirty puddle. They subsequently arrested 22-year-old Baylie Lecolst and 24-year-old Amber Giordano on child endangerment charges for the alleged treatment of the 1-month-old and 4-month-old.
The children were released to families members, and investigators are following up and working with the New Hampshire Department of Children, Youth and Families to figure out what their fate will be.
