Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday meant to celebrate the lives of those who have died. Really, it’s a celebration of living. It goes on for two days, on November 1st and 2nd. During the celebrations, families may visit the graves of their loved ones, build shrines, or reminisce over memories of those who have died.
Since this holiday is so close to Halloween, you can either use some of these ideas for your celebration on October 31st, or start a new tradition and honor the dead!
