Seventeen-year-old Daniel has always felt like an outsider, rejected by his peers because of his genetic disability, so when it came time for Daniel and his colleagues to prepare for the annual Homecoming dance, Daniel was crushed to be rejected by a girl he wanted to take to the dance. When a dejected Daniel returned home and told his mother, Tonya, the news, she was similarly disappointed that her son’s prom dream had been quashed.
However, Daniel’s disappointment was soon forgotten when a young girl, known as Kylie, planned a surprise “promposal,” asking to take Daniel to the dance as her date. Despite others voicing their doubts, Kylie insists she did not ask Daniel to the dance out of sympathy or for attention, but simply knew she would enjoy Daniel’s company and was looking forward to attending the homecoming prom with him. Much to the surprise of both Kylie and Daniel, the FOX5 Surprise Squad heard about Kylie’s kind hearted interaction with Daniel, and wanted to make their evening a night to remember. When Kylie asked Daniel to the dance, neither of them knew that they would be riding to the venue in style, with a black Rolls Royce being arranged by the FOX team to surprise the two teens. Daniel’s mother was brought to tears of happiness at the generosity and kindness of both Kylie and the FOX team.
But the FOX5 Surprise Squad didn’t stop there. Kylie and Daniel were treated to a five-star meal at a local restaurant before being driven to the venue. Upon arrival, Kylie and Daniel were treated like stars as their peers rolled out a red carpet for the pair and welcomed them to the homecoming event. Furthermore, both Kylie and Daniel have been treated to a trip to Disneyland with their families. Finally, Daniel was lucky enough to receive $10,000 to go towards his education after high school while Kylie was given a brand new car. Thanks to the kind, open heart of one young girl, and the generosity of the FOX5 Surprise Squad, Daniel was given the homecoming dance of his dreams and a night he will never forget.
