‘SNL’ Star Kate McKinnon Has Dinner With Hillary (Photo)
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was spotted dining out with her doppleganger on comedy sketch show “Saturday Night Live,” Kate McKinnon.
Clinton was spotted at Orso restaurant in New York City, dining with McKinnon and a third party, likely “SNL” head writer Sarah Schneider, reports Daily Mail.
A source revealed that “lots of laughter emanated from their table,” reports The Hill. Things got strange when one rowdy restaurant-goer started a chant of “Lock him up!”
The dinner has prompted questions as to whether Clinton will be appearing on “SNL” in the near future, given that McKinnon is the cast member who portrays her on the show.
After dinner, Clinton saw Glenn Close in the Broadway show, “Sunset Boulevard,” where she snapped photographs with the cast backstage. Clinton also drew applause and a standing ovation from the crowd when she was spotted inside the theater.
Clinton has been spotted at numerous events since her failed presidential bid in November. She recently attended New York Fashion Week where she met with longtime friend, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, for a USPS Oscar de la Renta Forever Stamp unveiling.
Clinton used the opportunity to comment on the Dominican-born designer’s legacy, as well as the current administration’s stance on immigration.
“Let there be many, many more immigrants with the love of America that Oscar de la Renta exemplified every single day,” Clinton said.
