More than anything in the world, 32-year-old Lytina Kaur dreamed of having a family. After seventeen miscarriages, the former housing officer was told that she would never be lucky enough to give birth to a living child. But God had other plans for this young mother. Now the happy mother has given birth for four daughters all within nine months of each other – and only two of them are twins!
When she was just 17, Lytina was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive cancer of her white blood cells. Doctors told her that after she received a bone marrow transplant, her hopes of having children were dashed.
But she never stopped trying. In those years since surviving cancer, she has experienced 17 miscarriages. Despite everything, now the 32-year-old has a booming family! Discover more about this miracle below!
When she was 23, she got married. This was back in 2007. Because her doctor’s warning was in the back of her head, she worried she’d never get pregnant and live her dream of being a mother.
When she first got pregnant in 2010, she had two male twins but miscarried just 17 weeks into her pregnancy. The tragedy devastated the young woman who worked at Nottingham City Homes.
She said, “I had 17 miscarriages in total and they were all hard but that one was the most difficult because it was my first and I had been carrying them for a long time.”
Desperate for a way to get pregnant successfully, the tried IVF – but it failed.
She even tried adopting, but God had other plans. She couldn’t find a suitable Asian child so she and her beloved husband opened themselves up to surrogacy.
After six attempts that all failed, the family gave up. But little did they know that God had been working in the background.
Then in February 2015, Lytina found that she had become pregnant naturally. In September 2015, she gave birth to her first daughter, Kiran. It was a miracle!
“It was quite a shock. My husband and I were waiting for a miscarriage. We just presumed it was going to happen,” the delighted mother said after the planned C-section.
Two months later, her two twins, Kajal and Kavita, were born to a surrogate mother. Despite thinking everything had failed, this mother’s body had accepted the embryos!
Finally, in June 2016, Lytina welcomed another daughter, Kiyara at the Medical Centre in Nottingham, UK.
Her dream of becoming a mother was realized!
The young mother recalled the struggle to become pregnant:
“I was still quite young when I was told I couldn’t have children When I had my transplant I was told I couldn’t have children because of my leukemia. I didn’t think about it too much at the time and thought I’d worry about it when I crossed the bridge. However when I got married at 23 it was heartbreaking.”
Now that Lytina is a mother of four, she remembers her last birth fondly. Now she is an overwhelmed mother. Be careful what you wish for!
“I was just enjoying my life and suddenly, within nine months, it turned crazy. I do miss being able to go out whenever I want to but I love spending time with my kids.”
