Here is an updated version of that basket using a twine handled bag I snagged at Target. I do try to bring my own bags but when I see a potential craft project in the checkout line, I can’t resist. The twine handle is then twisted together to make the adorable basket handle. You can make the handle as tall or short as you like, and I used the whole handle on my basket. So adorable for Easter treats or to hold some tasty macarons for an afternoon tea with a friend.
Here is the extra good news! After making a half dozen of these little cuties, a light bulb went off in my head on how to make it easier to wrangle the weaving process. I added this idea into my new tutorial below. Remember, you can make your baskets larger by increasing the width of your strips.
