The internet can be a dangerous place. Even someplace seemingly well-monitored such as Facebook. It’s a great place for keeping in touch with friends and family, but when it comes to meeting new people, you never know if the person in the profile picture is actually the real person or not.
This can be especially dangerous for young people, who can be easily manipulated.
And as often as parents may warn their kids not to talk to strangers, the kids in this video sadly did not heed their warnings. They were about to learn a very hard lesson.
It must be so scary and upsetting as a parent to see one’s child fall so easily into a trap. Let’s hope that these boys learned to use better judgment when chatting online. As their parents emphasized to them, the consequences could have been much worse.
