I have always had qualms about throwing out perfectly good glass jars and bottles. I always feel like they can be used for other things. What used to happen is I would save up a lot of bottles, taking up so much space in my pantry, and I would forget to use them. In the end, I would always bag them up to recycle. BuzzFeed.com has an article all about repurposing and reusing old jars and bottles and other food containers! I found several ideas here that I really love! I know I can’t be the only one that has lamented over the mustard left in the jar, knowing there’s enough in there for at least one more serving. But with no way to get it out, it became a moot point. Only, it didn’t! Someone much smarter than I figured out to make a vinaigrette right in the jar! Adding a bit of vinegar, some delicious olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper makes a delicious dressing for your next salad! Bottom of the honey jar lemonade is another fantastic idea. My daughter uses all the honey as fast as she can every time I buy it, just so she can make it! She also loves creating nifty storage containers for her colored pencils, crayons, and all of her other art supplies with empty milk jugs! These are just a few of the many awesome ideas for repurposing containers once you are done with them. You’re sure to find a few that you and your family could use today!
