Big Pharma Recalls Dangerous Children’s Medicine

Have you given your child children’s Tylenol for fever or cough? Johnson and Johnson have recalled their children’s Tylenol many times.

Poor production procedures lead to McNeil which is a branch of Johnson & Johnson, they pulled children’s and infants liquid Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl. They called it the probability of harm “remote” right before about 50 different products made in one plant. These recalled products were distributed in the U.S., Canada, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Fiji, Quam, Guatemala, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and Kuwait. Parents were advised to give their children different brands of the medication.

“Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles.” So, there were tiny particles? What were the tiny particles? Metal.

Tiny flecks of nickel were found in the bottoms of bottles of liquid medications. In March of 2015, the McNeil branch pleads guilty to a federal criminal charge. In 2009, a complaint was filed after a consumer spotted black specks in a bottle of children’s Tylenol. They found traces of nickel, iron and chromium in their products that came from the line. But, that didn’t stop them.

They finally got a taste of their own medicine, maybe not literally, but figuratively. It is so much better when we can decide what our children consume. If your child is not feeling well, let them rest. Let them sleep, make sure they’re hydrated and make sure they’re eating healthy. Beware of these kinds of medicines that are supposed to help, because they could just make things worse.
