Woman Gets Suspicious About Husband, Traces Phone To Last Place She Had Expecte

A U.K. woman is making arrangements for a divorce after she used the “Find My iPhone” app to catch her husband cheating on her with another woman.

Khadijah Bilal, 33, says she became suspicious of her husband of four years — whom she met at a Muslim speed dating event — when he began spending less time at home and staying out until the early hours of the morning.

“He was always going out on Saturday nights and coming back really, really late and early in the morning,” Bilal told the Daily Mail. “He wasn’t involved with the kids and he was always going to the gym.”

She had hoped that the birth of their second child in October 2016 would reverse the trend, but nothing changed.

“I said, ‘When she’s born I don’t want you going out on Saturday nights as much,’ but he still went,” she said. “By November I was getting suspicious but I was so tired with the newborn baby and so much rushing around and I didn’t really want to think about it.”

While she was spending time with her family over Christmas, Bilal remembered that her husband was using her old iPhone, and it occurred to her to check whether the Find My iPhone tracker app was still functioning.

She logged in late one night and discovered that her husband was located at an address near their home. It was then that she decided to track his movements and catch him in the act.

“I had to prove to myself, to my family and to his family what he was doing. I also had to have it confirmed for myself, for my own sanity,” she said. “It was very difficult. I had to really control myself. I used the tracker because I thought it would be the only way to be confident about what was actually going on.”

Bilal hired a private detective, who staked out the area until he spotted her husband, at which point he took down the address of the house and gave it to Bilal.

After following him around for a couple more weeks, Bilal visited the address and spoke with someone who admitted that her roommate was having an affair with Bilal’s husband. The two were coworkers and had been seeing each other for several months.

Bilal stuck around and called her husband to tell him their child was sick and needed to be taken to the hospital. Soon he was pulling up to the house with his mistress in the passenger’s seat. That’s when Bilal surprised him.

“I ran towards the car. I started banging on his window,” she said. “His car door was locked. I saw who she was. He sped off.”

She tried confronting him at work but says he threatened to call the police. She has since changed the locks on her house and is planning to file for divorce.

“He still hasn’t contacted me to offer an explanation,” Bilal said. “He contacted my family but my parents didn’t want to speak to him.”

“I feel relieved now that it’s over,” she said, adding, “I don’t love him.”

The Find My iPhone app was created to help locate Apple devices that had been lost or stolen, allowing users to track their missing iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Mac with an interactive map. According to Apple’s website, the app enables the owner to lock the device remotely and send a message with a contact number. That way, whoever finds it can contact the owner without having to access any personal information.
