There comes a time for all of us when we want to change something in our home, and when you watch what happened when this woman sprayed this on her countertop, you just might be inspired. Home renovations, even small ones, can be an awful lot of work. Not to mention the time and money it takes to do them right! Renovating a bathroom can be up there in costs, so a lot of people are too scared to take it on. But, not this woman. Jess from Bright Green Door figured out how to cut a few corners, which not only saved her a significant amount of time, but also some of the cost. Despite cutting corners, the end result is amazing. She turned her boring laminate countertop into a masterpiece and it cost her less than $10! Aren’t you curious to find out what she did and how? I know I am! This article at Diply.com has all the details. She started out with a decent bathroom. It wasn’t a disaster area or anything. She just wanted a change from the boring laminate that was already there. She started by taping everything. She covered every surface in the bathroom with plastic sheets and take them off. The only thing left was the countertop that she intended to change. Her spray paint choice was a “stone” colored spray paint. The color will vary from person to person, so you can definitely expand your options if you choose to do this project. With one can, Jess was able to apply four coats. One word of warning, though. Make sure you shake the can vigorously, especially if you use a similar kind of spray paint, since the “stone” particles may settle along the bottom. Make sure the room is well ventilated while you’re doing the painting. Turn on the fan, and open the window! If your bathroom does not have a window, just be sure to leave every few minutes to get some sort of fresh air. Jess did her painting at night, which is smart, because the paint has all night to dry undisturbed. The results are beautiful! She transformed and updated the look of her bathroom for just $10!
