I do a lot of research and from what I can see and say from personal experience, coconut oil is by far the best thing for your teeth. Did you know that coconut is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal; the best part is, no fluoride!
With only one spoonful of coconut oil you can clean your teeth and help prevent tooth decay, it really is a powerful antibacterial. It does it much more effectively than any store bought toothpaste or mouthwash.
Research done at the Athlone Institute of Technology examined the effects of natural and digested coconut oil on common strains of bacteria found inside the mouth. Not only did the coconut oil effectively inhibit a majority of the bacteria strains, but it was also particularly effective to harmful Candida Albicans.
Candida Albicans is what enables dental diseases. It is a yeast commonly found in a diet full of processed foods and sugar. This is a problem that not only affects out mouths but our digestive system as well. In the scientific report, the scientists found that coconut oil could be an effective alternative to chemical additives in many dental care products.
