Relaxing in my backyard garden and enjoying the view is one of my favorite leisure time during spring and summer. That’s why I am always on the look out for new and creative ideas to decorate my garden. You don’t have to spend much on some fancy garden decors. With creativity and some elbow grease, you can create something amazing for your garden.
Do you love the beautiful foliage from your garden and are wondering how to preserve it? In this tutorial, Annette Shrader from YouTube channel VolunteerGardener visited a shade gardener who demonstrated how to make beautiful leaf casting. With this creative and effective leaf casting technique, you can preserve the big bold foliage for seasons to come. Simply take any leaf you want (the tutorial features a giant elephant ear leaf), set it in sand and mixed concrete, and wait for 48 hours to have the cast completely dry. The final result looks absolutely fantastic. It is a perfect replica of your favorite leaf and will be a great decor for your home and garden. Follow the video and watch the step by step instructions. Enjoy!
