Arika Stovall and her boyfriend, Hunter Hanks, were in a horrific crash in Hunter’s truck last year. The truck collided with a large metal pole while traveling at 75 miles per hour!
Most people wouldn’t have made it through an accident like that, but the young couple knew they had someone looking over them throughout the ordeal….
The impact of the crash twisted Hunter’s truck into a ball of jagged metal that should have fatally injured them! But, miraculously, the angle at which they struck the pole somehow prevented the pair from being crushed within the wreckage.
Despite some labeling their fate as pure “luck,” Arika explained that she felt a special presence with her that afternoon on her Facebook page.
“Right when Hunter was actually out (of the car) and next to me, I asked this man when the ambulance was coming. He told me in just a second. He walked away, I blinked and a flashlight was in my face.”
She came to realize the man was her guardian angel sent from God!

Arika explained that God wasn’t done blessing them yet!
A severe crash occurring at such a high speed should have caused broken bones, head trauma, or internal bleeding! But both Arika and Hunter were both relatively unharmed, requiring only a few stitches.
When they visited the scene of the accident, they found Hunter’s Bible open to a page marked with scripture telling them not to be afraid, Jesus was with them. The couple knows that it wasn’t pure coincidence that left them in incredible shape after a such a horrific crash, and the open Bible solidified that.
Couple Walks Away From Crash, Later Discovers Item At Scene That Shakes Them To The Core

“I’m in awe of the presence of God in this entire situation. Every part of this experience we went through points directly to Him. The way God helped Hunter to respond exactly the way he did behind the wheel, spinning the truck exactly where it should have to be able to smash into the pilar directly in the middle of me and Hunter so we were both untouched…that doesn’t just happen.”
He is the reason they they were able to revisit the truck with big smiles and without crutches just two days later!
Hunter shared his thoughts about the accident on his own Facebook page.
“It’s only by the grace of God (that we don’t deserve) that just two days later we’re able to smile and stand in front of this huge pile of destroyed metal that was once my best friend of a truck.
I’m happy her face looks a lot prettier than mine does.
Once again, thank you to everyone who prayed and is still praying for us and sharing our story. You would be amazed at how many lives have been touched and how many people have reached out to us explaining why their faith in God is restored all because of such a frightening but yet beautiful miracle….”
As of right now, Arika and Hunter are healing at home and just happy to be alive! They really do have a guardian angel on their shoulders.

This adorable couple will have years to grow and begin new chapters of their lives together.
“God doesn’t throw protection around like that for no reason. He does it because he’s not finished with us.”
Their faith and level-headedness kept them safe from all harm, and the two will continue to live in the light of God for the rest of their days!
