Bus Driver Sees Kids’ Treatment To Boy On Bus, Writes Note To Parents That’s Going Viral

It’s no secret that children can be cruel to those who are even a little bit different, sometimes without even meaning it.

Their lack of filter, blunt observations and vocal nature can be used to tear others down in a second, or to build others up selflessly – and which way their actions lean can often depend on the style of parenting they get at home!

But one bus driver, named Cindy Clausen, was shocked when she saw two students on her route doing something out of the norm.

Instead of making fun of and bullying another boy on her bus with a disability, the children, a brother and sister, befriended the boy and made him feel included! They’ve asked to sit with him, offered to helped him on and off the bus, and talked to him about his day.

It was clear to Cindy that their parents were showing them the right way to treat people at home!

Instead of letting the days pass without complementing the parents behind the sweet brother-sister duo, Annaliese and Jorge, Cindy penned a letter and sent it home with them.

Before handing the letter over to the family, she shared it with the Love What Matters Facebook page:

“I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.

I have a child on my bus named Jackson. Both of your children have showed him so much compassion and support. Every day your children ask if they can sit with Jackson.

Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.

Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘come on Jackson, you can do it” and when we arrived at school, Jackson took it upon himself to carry out his backpack!

I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows!”

Annaliese and Jorge’s parents were thrilled to hear their children were being kind to others and taking the valuable lessons they were taught and applying it in real-life situations! They couldn’t have been more proud!

It’s children like Annaliese and Jorge that show children are still being raised correctly! If you have little ones in your life, share this with them so hopefully they act the same when introduced to someone who’s a little bit different than themselves!
