After a video surfaced on TikTok explaining the difference between bio and non-bio washing powder, people have claimed they never realised the distinction – until now.

TikTok account @ommelyla, which boasts more than 80,000 followers, explained the difference between both products in detail.

Since sharing the little-known discovery, their video has surpassed a whopping 400,000 views to date.

They questioned: “Do you know the difference between Bio and Non-Bio washing up powder?

“Bio detergent contains enzymes that help to break down common stains, such as food.

“Non-bio do not have these enzymes.

“If you have sensitive skin (eczema, psoriasis) or have young children this is what non-bio is for,” they added.

Since sharing, the TikTok video has raked in over 7,500 comments to date – with people suggesting their own differences
