Man Kicked Her In The Face Because Her Shorts Were ‘ Too Short’ – He’s Been Acquitted

Every time we leave our homes, we run the risk of running into someone that may not care for our choice of attire. As a general rule of thumb, instances in which it becomes a serious issue are few and far between, as long as we are not violating any well-specified dress code at our destination. However, there are incredibly rare occasions in which someone will take serious umbrage with what someone else is wearing, and in extreme case it can even lead to violence.

As the Daily Mail reports, that was the case for this 23-year-old woman from Turkey. She was minding her own business and riding on a bus in Istanbul. Aysegul Terzi, a nurse, was simply on her way to work when her day would take an incredibly frightening turn. Out of nowhere, a 35-year-old man began making a scene, and his frustration was directed towards Terzi. The object of his angst? The young woman was wearing shorts.

“Those wearing shorts must die!” witnesses described the man as shouting.

He apparently felt really strongly about that, as he began attacking the poor woman. Reports indicate that it was a particularly violent attack, but Terzi was able to escape with severe bruising – but not before the deranged man had kicked her in the face. Luckily for Terzi, three men intervened on her behalf to stop the assault. Police would later question the attacker, and he offered up a completely nonsensical answer.

The shorts she was wearing were not appropriate. That’s why I was angry and behaved so,” he said.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV, but the man was shockingly released after a Turkish court determined that no crime had been committed. The story has been making the rounds on social media, and users are outraged that the attacker got off scot free.

“Those who wear shorts must die!..” a good pair of legs is devil? What’s God then?” shared one user.
