DIY All Natural Ant Killer Using Borax

5

Ants are one of the most annoying insects around the household and garden, especially during the summer. If you don’t control them, they can become a real big problem. Recently I found ants in our kitchen sink area. I bought these TERRO Ant Killer Liquid Ant Baits on Amazon and they worked magically to get rid of the ants. But do you know there is a more natural and cheaper alternative to getting rid of those annoying insects? The secret is using Borax.

Borax, also known as sodium borate, is a natural mineral that is widely used in various household laundry and cleaning products because of its disinfecting ability. In fact, borax is more versatile than you expected. In the video below, Greg The Gardener demonstrates how to make an all natural ant killer using borax. It’s very easy and cheap to do. Basically you just have to mix equal amount of sugar and borax in hot water. Add honey to the mixture as an ant bait. After the mixture cools down, you can spray it on the places near the ant trails. It turns out to be very effective. Follow the video tutorial and make your house ant-free with just a few household ingredients and a bit of time.
