This YouTube video from user PermacultureMedia shows how he made a chemical free swimming hole that blends perfectly into its surroundings.
I love that this is an alternative to chlorine. Chlorine smells so bad, is hard on your hair and skin, and fades those pricey swimming suits. The water in this pool is purified with biological filters, plants, and some solar energy.
How lovely would this look in your backyard? Great, I’m sure! It would be a blast to take the kids out back and teach them about frogs and tadpoles. My one concern is mosquitoes. Does this count as still water? Hope not because it’s fabulous in every other way.
