McDonald’s Employee Notices Erratic Driver Pull Up, Lunges Through Window When He Sees Woman’s Face.

What was supposed to be a quick breakfast for an off-duty Miami police officer turned into a fight for survival with an unlikely hero. If we’ve learned anything, there’s no telling what can happen at a drive-thru.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was picking up her food at a McDonald’s drive through with her children when cashier Pedro Viloria noticed something was not right. “I see she’s like inflating her neck, like trying to breathe, like ‘ahh,’ and basically I thought something was going wrong,” he said.

Suddenly, the female officer slumped in her seat and the car began moving under its own power toward the busy road ahead.

Fearful for the safety of those in the car, Pedro literally leapt through the drive thru window to do whatever he could to help.

Pedro was able to stop the vehicle before it slipped into the street. Thankfully a customer who happened to be a paramedic and an off-duty firefighter saw the incident take place, and rushed to Pedro and the Officer’s aid. The paramedic was able to revive the police officer, and though she has not been named, we know that she survived the ordeal, but is in critical condition.

Here’s to the firefighter, paramedic and Pedro and his quick thinking! If it was not for them, the day could have ended in a much different way. Check out the harrowing moment Pedro leaps from the window to the officer’s aid in the video below!
