Man Attacks 12-Year-Old Girl, Doesn’t Realize What She Spent Last Year Of Her Life Doing

When a British man tried to attack a 12-year-old girl walking home in her school uniform, he would soon regret it. The young girl had been studying Krav Maga — an Israeli martial art — for more than a year.

The girl was walking home from a Krav Maga combat class in the London borough of Camden at around 6 p.m. That’s when she said a man approached her and tried to grab a hold of her.

“With her year plus of Krav Maga training, she reacted quickly, elbowing the perpetrator and then kneeing them in the groin before taking off at a clip to safety before calling me,” the girl’s mother told the Hampstead & Highgate Express. “She did not see what the person looked like or was wearing as her only concern was to react and to get out of there.

“She did say when the hand grabbed her, it felt large like a man.”

Krav Maga, which means “contact combat” in Hebrew, is used by the Israeli military and secret service. It is combination of techniques used in boxing, muay thai, judo, wrestling and jiujitsu.

Her mother said there has been a “spate of confrontations between men and local area school girls,” adding that the suspect is still at large and will probably continue to target school-aged girls. She is just glad her daughter was able to protect herself.

“She is home safely for which we are grateful,” the mother added.
