Make A Beautiful DIY Hammock Using Macrame

12

I love porch swinging and backyard sitting. Basically I love everything relaxing and this Macrame Hammock chair looks like the most relaxing of all. Macrame isn’t crocheting but a form of weaving or knotting. (So don’t stress if you don’t have knitting needles.) It’s durable and beautiful and sailors used it a lot back in the day to decorate everything from their shoes to their ships. I think the designs are lovely, especially the ones on this chair. I’m itching to try my hand at this! And you will be too after seeing the tutorial from eHow. Be sure not to skip any steps or rush through the weaving. The last thing you want is to break your chair or fall on your tushy.

I don’t have a macrame hammock but I do have swinging chairs on the porch. They are Zupapa chairs and they are brilliant. They are the ultimate in store-bought comfort; they have foot and arm rests, a drink holder, and a pillow for your head.
